Password protection on Text file

Hi,

I am trying to create a text file using Open, close and write commands. I want to make the text file 'password protected'. How can this be done?

It can't be done with text file.
You can zip the text file and assign a password to the zip file.

Wouldn't it be easier to make the destination folder accessible only to certain users ? the same peopkle who would have password access to the file anyway?
