Seeing line breaks characters in Navision

Hi

I have a problem in Navision. One of my user (senior management) started seeing carriage return characters in Navision in the description. The user saw them as little boxes. We quickly figure out that the issue was due to the other users copying the data into the description field directly from an Excel cell. This stopped the increase of the number of carriage return characters but the senior manager wants to stop seeing the boxes for good.

I can write a script to clean up the line breaks but then this is likely to mean that the script has to be runned regularly. Moreover, it does not prevent the line break characters from being pasted. Moreover, it solves only one field.

I can write a function so that on modify, the description is purge of all carriage return. This fixes only the one description field.

I need to find out why only the senior manager is able to see the carriage return characters while every other user is not able to see it and if possible set it to another setting so that the senior manager is not able to see the carriage return.

The user's laptop is an XP professional OS SP3. The regional and language Options is not changed. It shows English (United States) for the Language for non-unicode.

Any suggestions?
