Hi there!
I need to create a weighing solution for a customer, but dont know the best solution for this issue.
Does anyone had integrate a balance with navison?
The company has a Mettler Toledo Balance with a RC232 connection, and what they need is to send the weigh value to a navision form and then post it.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance

All depends on the software which you have for the scale, or if it is RS232 you can read the values from the port through some automation. Just search the forum for "COM port" and may be you will find something for you. And it is not hard to create automation in visual studio which will work with the port to wait for value and fire event in nav in case of data...0

kine is right. We integrated over 10 different scale types and it always depends on which communication medium and which communication protocol is used / you want to use."Money is likewise the greatest chance and the greatest scourge of mankind."0

Lanham's eShip solution has a Scale Interface. You might want to check that out first.

In the past I have used WinWeigh.
It is a generic ActiveX control that is capable of connecting to any scale.0 -
