We have one client in our network that is experiencing problems when printing from Navision. After confirming the Navision-dialog (filters etc.) with "Print" the application freezes for approx. 1 minute before displaying the printer dialog window.
Tried:
- Rebooting computer
- Removing printer locally (is a shared HP1320 network printer) and adding it again
- Removing zup-file
- Reinstalling Navision client software
This didn't work. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to solve this?
Thank you very much in advance!!!
Best regards,
Gerard

Perhaps I should have been more clear.
- This behaviour only occurs in Navision
- The client runs Windows XP SP3
- The Navision version is Navision Financials 2.60 (I know, very old)
Any suggestion is very welcome!

Only on one client and on this computer with different printers. On this one computer the problem occurs with all printers.
The problem started this afternoon. This after years without any problem.
It is also not user related. When this user (with unified logon) works on a Terminal Server, everything is fine.

1. Check if you can print other documents (excel, doc, txt) on this client with no problem and no any delay.
2. If there is no problem, may be you need to restart print spooler service?
3. If you have the same problem when print other documents from this client, and you have tried many ways as you mentioned. Please check network adapter driver (update the latest driver) on this client, check virus, re-install Navision Financials client on this computer, and finally, if it is still no luck, re-install Windows XP SP2 (because I am thinking if SP3 would has some compatible problem against Navision Financials).
Tried last Friday:
- another full uninstall of Navision, removed the folder
- reboot
- removed all printers
- fresh install of Navision
- just setup the printers needed again
Problem solved! Still not clear what exactly caused the problem.
Again, thanks for your help!!!
