Reflect Item Charges on Item Card

Dave_beDave_be Member Posts: 35
Hello,

We use the "Item charges" to add shipping cost to our articles.
Let's say an item costs 17 EUR/PIECE and the shipping cost is 3 EUR/PIECE.
The total cost of the product is 20 EURO/PIECE.
Is there a way show the total cost on the item card so it can be used to calculate selling price and profits on an item?
I can see the cost true the item ledger entries but that's not very convenient for the end-users/price calculators.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

This is not so easy. How do you know which shipment to take when calculating the landed cost?
The problem is that you can have more that one freight cost associated with a shipment or be waiting for duty cost. Once you define the rules for calculating the landed cost then build it off the Item Ledger Entry/Value Entry.

Aside: "fright cost" - this is what the customer has to pay  - Sorry couldn't resist

    I understand.
The need for this info is purely for giving the price calculators an extra tool to set their selling prices accurate.
Maybe someone knows another way of achieving the above goal.
