Can someone Say me What is the use of Apply template in Customer and Vendor Master in Function Button

You can create templates (default values). When you create a new customer, you can use the templates to populate the default values for that customer.

U can create default template where in u can feed in some default value. For example Gen Business Posting Gr. , Posting Group, Discount Group. etc.

Now when u will convert a contact into either a customer vendor system will ask you which template u want to use. U can select or skip. If u select any it will carry all the value from your template to your new customer or vendor.

Where do I create those templates

Are you creating customers directly? F3 on Customer card? or are you creating Contact first and then creating the customer?
There is a different template when you create customer from contact.


If you are creating Customer directly. The Template can be setup from
Administration->Application Setup->General->Setup Master Template
