We have a WAN in a hub and spoke configuration, with most remote offices connected via 1.54 frame. A single central Navision server, connected to an EMC for the database, and another Citrix server for the remote users to access Navision.
I've posted in here a few times, I may have asked about Citrix alternatives before...
I know that Navision isn't really built for remote wan connectivity. But have any custom Front-end type solutions been implemented? What I'm picturing is a simple caching client installed on each office file server, that streamlines all of the requests between the client and the back-end, and caches data to reduce redundant network traffic. Or maybe there is a Navision Financials client plugin that compresses data between the client and back-end.
