Hi all,

I have removed the new option by setting the CardFormId to "Undefined" instead of "Job Card" in the job list properties in pages. In RTC If i double click on the job list, job card is not opening. Can any one tell me how to open the already existing job card????

Thanks in advance..
With warm regards,

Thankesh

Because you removed the wrong property when you thought you were removing the New button. Would have been nice if you had been a little more friendly before wouldn't it.

In the interest of other people that are searching for an answer to this question... plus it is not very nice to be vindictive, and I am a little bit bored at the moment.

The CardFormID property is there to link the list page to the card page. When you doubleclick on the list, the system would know which Card page to open for that record because of the Card page ID that is entered into that property. By clearing this property you basically disabled the link between the list and card pages. To read more about this property, go to the C/SIDE Reference Guide, which is under the Help menu, and search for the property.

To make that link work, you will need to re-establish the Job Card page as the CardFormID for the Job List.

You should really consider phrasing this as a question next time. You should also consider a thank you note when someone helps you.

Open your onlline help system, and on the search tab, enter 'permissions'. There are turorials in there that will help you. There is also the "C/SIDE Reference Guide" in the help menu that contains tons of useful information about this. Search this forum on 'permissions' and read a little bit about it.

Thank you very much for your valuable answers.

As i'm a fresher i don't know how to handle this tool smoothly. Inspite of that the expert people are cursing at me like any thing. that they want to ban me. So i request you all of them, to keep patience till i get more knowledge about this tool.

I searched the forums and the help topics found in MS Dynamics Nav 2009. I have set the permissions that the user cannot create a job list, but the job list can be modified. But still the existing job list is not opening.
    With warm regards,

    Thankesh
