running a periodic activity on a scheduled date and time

I want to run a periodic activity on a scheduled date and time automatically. Does Navision 3.70 support this?

Just have a look on the Job Sheduler (part of the Service Mgt).
With it, you can run other objects (like reports or CodeUnits) periodically ...

Job Scheduler Log Window

In the Job Scheduler Log window, you can see a list of the logged actions performed by the job scheduler. This includes information about the date and time, ID of the job and any message text. This window displays different information depending on where you open it from. If you open the Job Scheduler Log window from the Job Scheduler Overview, you can see a list of the logged actions linked to a particular job.

In this window, you cannot create a new log entry. The program automatically logs job scheduler actions if there is a check mark in the Log Scheduler Actions field in the Job Scheduler Mgt. Setup window.

For Help about a specific field, click the field and press F1.

Starting the Job Scheduler
You can use the job scheduler to run jobs automatically at user-defined intervals.

The job scheduler checks when the jobs are scheduled. When it finds a job that is scheduled to be run, it runs the report, codeunit or dataport linked to the job. The Last Message field contains the result of running the job.

Before starting the scheduler, you must first set up the job scheduler management.

To Start the Job Scheduler:
Click Service Management, Periodic Activities, Job Scheduler Management. The Job Scheduler Management window appears.

Click Start. A dialog box appears in which you must click Yes to confirm.
