Fixed Asset , Cap.WIP

Hi,

In Nav Asset accounting is done based on FA card. However in case of Capital WIP we can not make use of FA Card type.
reason being if we select FA Card its GL accounting is done as Addition to Fixed Asset. I know we can keep the date blank for not chg the dep / block the asset till the time we enter the dep.date etc.

My question here is : In case of Cap.wip items e.g. Tooling wherein various items r required to be purchased, exps to be incurred and then to be capitalised. In such case option one is:
Select entry type > GL and then tfr through FA journal to FA Card. However in this case i ve one problem.

Wherever excise duty is applicable if we select type GL then what will be the effect of excise?.. since excise is on either item, item chg or FA.

Also we can not make item for this.

How we can handle this?
