Posting of consumption

Can anyone come with their findings.
When I post the consumption through consumption journal, some times some funny :shock: things happend. I i have to post a consumpton of Qty for example 80 Nos. against a production order, some times it is posted in the item ledger entry as follows:
-120
+40
Thought the net effect s 80, it is posted as two entries and both has the entry type as "Consumption"
