Client must be in the same time zone as the server.

I have a client workstation in CST time zone and a server in PST time zone. When the client workstation tries to log in, the message "Client must be in the same time zone as the server. Server time zone: GMT -08:00." is displayed. What is causing this error message and what is the fix?

The NAV 2009 Service Tier is only capable of handling one timezone, which is unfortunate but true.
When SP1 comes our later this year, this limitation is gone and you should be able to connect from any timezone.
Until then, you need to make sure that client and service tier is in the same time zone.
If you use Citrix / Terminal Services, there should be a setting which tells Citrix to use the server timezone on the client (haven't seen/tested this myself though)Freddy Kristiansen
