Curr. Code and Curr. Factor Required in G/L Entry

Hi All,
We got a requirement to get "Currency Code" and "Currency Factor" in G/L Entry Table. So I've just thought of creating those two fields in G/L Entry table and during posting populate it by copying the corresponding fields from Journal. But later I found that when posting to G/L Entry, the Gen. Journal line also does not holds the Currency Code and Currency factor. So now my only choice seems to be populating the Currency details in to the Journal in all the Posting Codeunits from which the control comes to Codeunit 12(Gen. Jnl.-Post Line) for posting to G/L Entry. Then in Codeunit 12, I can copy the Currency Code and Currency Factor to G/L Entry. Please give me your valuable suggestions to do it in a better way.

The gen journal does have the currency code and Currency Factor. If it is blank, it means it's local currency and currency factor is 1
