Hi all,

For a customer project, we want to archive a drawing upon importing a BOM generated by their CAD system. We thought about importing the drawing into the navision database in a blob.

Only drawback is each drawing consists of several files. Yhis could be handled by first zipping them together. Second problem is such zip is still 2 to 3 Meg in size. If you have several hundred drawings a year, the database would grow too rapidly.

Therefore our line of thought now is to use sharepoint as a means to store the physical file and just register a link or reference to the object in Navision.

Does anyone have experience or ideas on this?
