hello,
we use financials 2.60D and have more than one database on different servers (e.g for testing). So this is the problem: How can i print the servername on a header in a report? i can see the information in the main menue (Database / information / servername) but i'm not able to get these information on my own way.
Any ideas?

yes, but in which variable or table or field is the servername hidden?
i want to see the servername automatically when i start the same report on different servers.
    thanks

It depends on what server you are using. If it is SQL, so you can find information in table 2000000047 and if it Navision database server, than in table 2000000051.

    thanks,
    it's a navision-server and i found the table.
But now the next problem: How can i find out the right server?
If I start a report to have a look at the table, i see all servernames that are possible. How can i figure out the server, I'm connected to?

    Hi, I4tost!
First of all: Thank you for staying with me!
Where can i find the field "myServer"? :?:
It's not part of the table 2000000051.

Sorry, i don't know actually how to get this for Navision Database Server :( The best way, i think, is to use field in company card for this purpose.

There must be another way, because i can get the information, when i look in the database-information.

If you were using v3.x, you could pick the servername out of the string returned from the 'CONTEXTURL' function...

For v2.x, the closest thing may be the string returned from 'COMMANDLINE' (provided you named the server in the Target field of the shortcut used to start Navision), but this probably won't be updated when you close/re-open databases from the File menu...
