I can make the registration process more difficult, so spam bots cannot register automatically.
But I can't prevent people from registering manually and make those spam-postings manually.
Those messages generally don't stay long in the forum. The "Report post" feature is used by the members to report those posts, so we can delete these postings and deactivate the spammer's account. Sometimes the IP-addresses are banned as well.
Don't know what else we can do :-k
EDIT: I have installed a MOD, which enhances the CAPTCHA image during registration. Now we have to wait & see ...

Ok, it is not big problem, just my RSS is groving too fast... :-) but when I see many posts from one author in different toppics I just delete them from RSS now...
maybe i'm only bad informed about this, but...
why in the hell "people" is still sending spams around?i think that no one clicks their link or read them...
they're worse than tv spots (in terms of marketing), because they're simpler to avoid...no one cares about spam mails/posts/whatever.
(personally i automatically burn my spam folder in outlook).

We have now implemented an approval queue for postings of new members. These postings need to be reviewed (and approved) first before they become visible. But this only applies to postings of newly registered users. Spammer registrations that already exists in the users database might post their spam messages, but they will be caught eventually.

I don't know where else to report this, and I don't know if kriki checks his PMs, which is why I'm posting here.
What I feel is spammers are hitting the forum when you and Kriki are offline like your sleep time..
