Navision Financials
We are trying to install v2.6 on Windows 2003 server and during install it fails to start the service.
Anyone got any ideas on compatability etc? I know v2.6 is old but it's what needs to be done.

Check if your cache size is not over 750000KB.

I assume this is a Navision server you are installing. Providing all the files are there you could try running or starting the server from a dos prompt and see what it say's. Should give you some information on what is happening.

It is server....if server.exe is run first then the service can be started but this is a dodgy work around......

So the cache needs to be under or over 750000?

Under! But still, try a few values above 750000 because you can sometimes set it a little higher.

May I ask if Windows login is possible with the version of 2.6 you are using?
