Navision Streams with VB6

Hi
Today I would like to ask for some support regarding VB6 & Streaming.
I have to integrate Navision with an external supplier.
This supplier supports us with an automation we can use.
Now I figured out, that the responses from this automation are returned as a "SAFEARRAY".
Due to the fact that is a well known problem, the supplier had no problems to support us with an additional Stream Interface.
He tried to use ADODB.Stream.
But this did not really solve our problem...now I see as return value type a "_Stream".
Now they asked me for support, but I'm not that VB6 expert.
Their solution is VB6 programmed and they can't change it.
Could somebody support me maybe with some working VB6 examples for them, so that I can consume the stream in Navision?
The returned data is a pure XML file or a XML file which contains a zip file.
I used allready the forum search and google but could not find any proper solution...
