NAV Upgrade from 3.7 to NAV 2009

Hi

My client is running on NAV 3.7 with Native DB. He wants to upgrade to NAV 2009 with latest version of SQL server. Is it possible to directly upgrade from NAV 3.7 to NAV 2009 skipping version 4.x and 5.x? Please let me know

Yes, the Upgrade Toolkit for NAV 2009 is supporting 3.70 and 4.00 versions. Version 5.00 do not need toolkit to upgrade to NAV 2009. You can find more info in the documentation included in the Upgrade toolkit.

Thanks for the reply. Do i need to take any special precautions during this process? (Since i am upgrading from 3.7 to NAV 2009 straight).


Also i would like to know whether anyone faced any challenges in their upgradation process. This would help me to be more cautious during this process.

All is described in the documentation, prerequisities, well-known problems etc. Of course, there can be some other problems, but it will depends on the database, customizations etc.
