Nav database server the opratating system cannot gain access

eCodeeCode Member Posts: 12
I have installed Nav 5.0 SP1 Nav Database Server with default setups, but get following message when try to open database:
"The opratating system cannot gain access to the file d:\test.fdb". "test.fdb" is valid database and I can open it with client only option with same license. Nav Database Server service is running and I can stop/start service without any error.

Environment: Windows Server 2003 standard edition SP2
nav: 5.0 SP1

Any idea what this could be?

Check permissions on the file. There must be permission for the account under the DB Server is running (this is the difference between opening the DB by client - your account -and the DB Server - service account set on the service).

Yes. It was permission problem. When I gave permission to Network Service account(server runs with this account), it started to rock. Thank you very much. :D
