How are job ledger entries closed?

Hi:

Does anyone understand the rules for when the "Open" flag in a Job Ledger Entry record is set to FALSE (i.e. unchecked)? Specifically, I'm talking about Entry Type of "Sales" transactions where the sales invoice is NOT created via "Get Job Usage" (This is pre-5.0 when the Get Job Usage went away).

I have observed that if you do a "Get Job Usage" type of Sales invoice, both the "usage" and the "sales" job ledger records created by the GJU process are marked closed, but I'm wondering if the sales records created by a regular sales invoices are EVER closed? The code in the posting codeunits looks at the field "Remaining Amount" (which is NOT a flowfield in the Job Ledger Entry table) and if this amount is 0, then the "Open" flag is set to false. But I'm unsure (yet) as to which events cause this field to be recalculated.

Any insight would be appreciated.
