How to use Routing Link Code to do warehouse pick?

Hi all,
I am studying the proper flow for warehouse pick and consumption. Please kindly give me some thoughts.
1. ALL locations are set to require receive, put-away, pick and ship, no directed put-away and pick
2. We want to pick raw materials by routing link code, as defined on BOM and routing. But when generate the warehouse pick, all components show. On the pick worksheet, I get no way to know which item for which routing link, thus, I have to pick all items at once.
3. In consumption journal, work centres can register the WIP by routing link. But our concern is having the warehouse picks the immediate required items instead of ALL BOM items.
Did I make any steps wrong when combining warehouse pick and consumption? I believe the design of routing link should somehow help ease the picking, yet I cannot find any. Glad if anyone can throw me some suggestions. Great thanks.
