In need a good purchase manager. Not the one shipped with standard Navision Financials. But one with averages and Trends.

Well, one of the advantages of Navision is that you have the developement environment (C/SIDE) included and therefore can adapt almost every functionality to your needs.

This also applies for the purchase manager. Last year I implemented amount-to-purchase based on linear regression of the monthly purchases over the last 12 months. Nothing's impossible if you have a programmer at hand.

However prior to purchasing Navision software you should be aware that the standard version is in most cases not a program you can use as it is shipped. It's a standard application with a very stable database and a very broad standard functionality but individual programming will always be needed to make the product fit for the specific needs of your company.

    I agree with Marcus.
You can design and create what you need in Navision if you have Programmer. But if you don't have, don't worry, you can contact Local NSC nearest to you. Or you can contact Navision on http://www.navision.com to get information which is the best availlable NSC to your location.

Or you can look at the Business Directory of myNavision.net, to look at the listed companies ;-)

But everybody has external programmes. I want a purchase manager in Navision.

Sounds to me like "I don't want to buy fuel, I just want to drive car" :-)

A purchase manager is part of Navision Standard. But if I interpret your request correctly the standard purchase manager does not completely fullfill the needs of your company. Right?

But in fact, the purchase manager in Navision already covers 99% of what you need: There's a field "Reorder Point" in the item table which states that if there are less than "reorder point" items on stock you have to reorder. If I understood you correctly, the only problem you have is that this "reorder point" has to be dynamicaly, based on the sales of the last x months. It requires a relatively small effort from an NSC to create a procedure which calculates this "reorder point" based on historical data (with an algorhythm you define) and updates this field prior to run the Requisition (= Re-ordering items which are short on stock).

The first thing you need is a Navision Solution Center (NSC) which you trust. They will not simply sell you the programm, install it and leave you alone, they are also here to help you and program necessary enhancements.
You will find several NSC's in the Netherlands so you can choose one which is geographically near, has experience with your kind of problems etc.

Every NSC has at least one Navision certified programmer (that's a rule to become an NSC). So if you have an NSC you have also the programmer(s) you need to adapt the Navision Standard application to your particular needs.

One of the nice things of Navision is the ability to tailor it to fit your needs and requirements.

Often this just means changing the standard version a little bit, sometimes it means development of a full featured extra module. But it always starts with talking to a skilled NSC, and after making a thorough study together of your business, your company, your processes, et cetera, a tailored fitting proposal will be presented to you.

If you don't know yet which NSC to chose, I do happen to know one... :-)
