ILE with no application entry???

Hi,
we are using 3.7 Nav
in which there are several old ILEs having no Application entry :!:
One of which is:
Entry type: Negative Adjmt.
Quantity: -1
Remaining Qty: -1
Invoiced Qty: -1
Open : yes
Cost Amount (actual):-5000
can anyone plz explain in what case this can happen???? :?:

Comments
1) check the Costing Methos for that Item. Item Application Entries are based on the Costing Method.
2) Check whether the entries are deleted.
