Navision 4.0 SP2 and SQL Server 2008 compatibility

Hi all,

I have a client who is running on Navision 4.0 SP2 and SQL Server 2000. They recently called to ask if it was possible to run their current version of Navision on SQL Server 2008.

Would like to know if there are any known issues running Navision 4.0 SP2 on SQL Server 2008 before I get back to them? I'm unable to find any info at the Microsoft website about this.

never test it with SP2, but with SP3 and the last hotfixes it works.
But if the customer has byued the upgrade license charge you can also upgrade (technical upgrade -> change the files in programfolder and dll on server) the customer to 5.01 / 2009 (also with Classic Client).

because NAV 4.00SP2 is not fully compatible witn SQL 2005, it will not be compatible with SQL 2008. Use NAV 4.00SP3 or NAV 5.0SP1 or NAV 2009.
