hello all,

can anyone plz tell me how to create the budget in AX???

and suppose i have created a budget for traveling expense of Rs. 10k for march. and my expense is of Rs. 12K.then system will not allow me to post the entry beyond 10k.

Is it possible?
i think i made myself clear.

    Budget is not one u asked for . Budget is something u intend to spend or earn then u compare that amount by ur actuals. Not figure wise but yes sign wise u can have this check in Ax For example if u have set that for a particular account amount should always be in Dr then system can do that. I doubt if exactly figure wise Ax has this :-k

    To create a budget at a simple level, you key it in.

    To have the system restrict an entry based upon a budget is much more difficult. Lets say you put this on expenses, in expense management the expense is already incurred, you are recording it, so you cannot stop them going over the budget, you just need to control it.

    Essentially there is no way to stop an over budget entry for many many reasons. You need to consider the system with the business and produce a solution to meet both needs, whether this is a report, document workflow or a modification, it will depend upon each business case.
