Cost Batch Job

Hi,

I require clarification for the following at the earliest :

1) I have closed the Fiscal Year 2008 in March 2009
2) I have run Adjust Cost - Item Entries Batch Job after closing the fiscal year.
3) I get the follwoin error message - "Posting Date not within your range of allowed posting dates in Item Journal Template Name="",....:
4) The same Batch Job was run in feb before closing the fiscal and this error had not come then. In the Use setup - the Allow Posting from date and To Date were for the month of feb
5) In month of march the Allow Posting From and To Date is for the month of March

6) On putting the date in Allow Posting from sate as 1st jan 2008, the cost batch job posts entries. But entries for the year 2008 is posted in 2008 only.

As per my understanding if the period /year is closed then it should post the entries if any in the date given in the cost batch job.

Can you let me know if my understanding is correct. Or how the system behaves if the fiscal year is closed.

An early reply would be really helpful.

Dear at first place u should have closed your inventory first, then the fiscal year.
