Report to Modify Unit Cost

Hi,

Im gonna develop a report the will modify the Unit Cost of an Item in Item Card. The report will be run and base on the amount that will come up with that report, that will the UNIT COST of the Item. My question is there a bad effect, in changing the Unit cost using a report or progmamitically modify??? Hoping for your reply..Thanks

    What are you changing it to? Remember that Adjust Cost is going to update it also.
    There are no bugs - only undocumented features.

    Hi,

    Because we have a process that must include some amount that is post to using Journal, to unit cost of the specific Item. Thanks for the reply. But it is safe to do that, or there's a bad effect, chaging the unit cost using programmatically?? Hoping for your reply.

    Not sure what you are getting at, but there is already a report 794 - Adjust cost prices

    that does this, you may look at it for some help.

    a standard use for this is to say raise cost or sell price by a set precentage, or
