Hi,

Would anyone know if there is any migration NAV to AX toolset provided by Microsoft to perform migration between products? I have been searching through out the Microsoft forums but haven't been able to find any information.

Thanks in advance,

George

99% sure it does not exist, AX is as different as any other ERP system to NAV.

    Better make that 100%.

There is no tools, released by Microsoft, that will migrate from one ERP to another.

    Hello AdamRoue,

Thanks for your reply. After I dug a little more in the partner source area for MS Dynamics, I found a generic tool that MS offers as a migration tool between legacy or other ERP systems to AX 2009 (and AX v4). It has three ERP adpaters for the following older systems: Baan, AX v2.x and Epicor iScala 5.1 SR13 SP14.

They call it Sure Step and it is based on SSIS SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence. Using a staging database and the SSIS package you could develop your own adapter for NAV and follow the checklist for the migration process.

    Regards,
