Export Data direct to MySQL Database

Hi everybody,
I am very sure, that this question is asked quite often. But unfortunaly I found nothing which can help me
I need information on products (for a webshop) in a MySQL database. Currently I am creating a txt file using a dataport. An than load the txt file into the database. This causes me a few problems :x
Therefore two question to all of you:
1. Is there a way to connect from MySQL direct to Navision (ODBC ??) ??
2. I need all german "Umlaute" in the database ???
