Problem in value entry

Dear All
I want to know that in which case while receiving and shiping orders the Item ledger entry creates but no Value entry creates........

    Haven't encounter such a scenario. May be other members can suggest.

    Have you encounter this kind of posting. Could you narrate?

    Ya ,I have encounter this problem many times.For example:I have created 1 Purchase order and I received it fully or partially then 1 time Item Ledger entry created and Value entry does not created.Can anybody please tell me that when it is possible?

    I have posted the transaction with as many combinations as I could think, but in all cases value entry is getting created on purchase receipt.
    Have you modified the database ?
    Give details of one such posting, I will try to replicate on Cronus.
