NAVISION only for Warehouse Activities

Hi All

What do you think about a requirement to install Navision in a standalone warehouse for its activities. I studied the stores activities and see there is no FINANCIAL data (nothing). They just received goods, organize, store and dispatch based on Head Office (no Navision there too) delivery orders. Major issue is the number of SKUs they store. More than 15,000. But no bin concept because many items are huge like machineries.

Can we recommend Dynamics NAV for this stores? My understanding is that without financials (at least chart of accounts), the system will work well.

warehouse management works with Sales orders, PO, Transfer orders, so you need to create those, which means you need customers and of course GL.

Now if they don't look at the GL data, that's OK. they just want to look at inventory qty.
You can setup a simple chart of account.

I went through their documents and there is absolutely no finance information like cost, price etc.

Will it be alright to have such a setup or do you recommend to have 1/= as cost/price in all documents?

you can set the cost and amount to zero, if they don't care about it, then it doesn't matter.
