Hi

In item journal entry type is by default appearing as "Purchase" at the time of adding any entry.
1.Can anybody inform as to can we change default entry type ? e.g. from "Purchase" to say "Negative adjustment" first.
2. Can we block type "Purchase" and "Sale" so that users will not be able to select this type. Purchase and Sales are routed through normal invoicing option.

try going to table 83 - Item journal line

in the object designer

change the property of the Entry type field,

Purchase,Sale,Positive Adjmt.,Negative Adjmt.,Transfer,Consumption,Output

remove the ones you don't want to have.

I have not done this, so test it out first, to make sure there are no other consiquences

You can change the initial value in the field properties to your new deafult.
Don't remove the options - you could blank out the text, but leave the commas, so the other programs that use it don't misbehave, plus your original data will still be usable.

Remove "Direct Cost applied" & COGS account in General Posting setup with Blank Gen. Business Posting Group and relevant General product posting group.
