Detail trial balance report

We currently print a detailed trial balance report for various GL codes, for example we have a GL code for purchase delivery costs, we use this report to analyse delivery costs to us, unless someone knows of a better way! The standard report shows invoice numbers and costs etc but it would be extremely useful if we could show the vendor on the report, as we add these manually at the moment by hand. I know that the trial balance can be used for lots of types of GL codes, but does anyone have a possible solution on how we can add a field to show vendors on the report or a comment box that we could show.
