is there a place to find the standard data definitions and how the system is processing that field(data)?

for example: in "items" table there is a field called duty. what is the relationship to the other fields? this is just an example i am looking for a definitive answer for all fields.

There is a tool called iWorkbench from http://www.impuls-nbg.de
iworkbench@impuls-nbg.de. Wiht this tool you can see any relation, source code, search for fields, etc. in a Navision database.
