Error Messages causing Deadlock!

kaelaakaelaa Member Posts: 28
Hello,

I've seen this many times now, a user who receives an error message but leaves it open and doesn't close it so all the other users are locked because the user who has the error has locked many tables but by receiving the error, it hasn't been released. Isn't Navision supposed to release all the tables before displaying an error message?
Am I missing something?

Any ideas appreciated

Thanks

Hello, there is a hotfix for this. I suggest to get to the latest executables.

Just to add my 2c. Be careful exactly which executables to upgrade to. Right now it seems that all the latest hot fixes are pretty good. But that this locking issue is recurrent, and could come back at any time. So make sure to do testing on the new executables before upgrading.

BTW which version are you running?

Thank you very much for your help guys.. That is exactly what I was looking for.

I contacted Microsoft , I received the platform rollup update... I am gonna test it before installing.

David I am running version 5.0 build 25359.

I don't know if I am better upgrading to the latest executables or only to do the rollup update..

    Thanks

I would go with latest executables. 2009 classic.

If you look at all the issues that have been resolved after 5.0 sp1, it just makes sense to get the latest 2009 classic executables.
I have 3 clients running on the new executable without any problems.
