can you please confirm if Microsoft Business Solution Navision 4.0 Service Pack 1 is compatible with Sql Server 2008 (database) and Windows Server 2008 (Operating System).

Windows Server 2008 is basically the server version of Vista. The only officially supported versions are 4.0 SP3 (for which you will need a platform update) and up.
