EP and Windows Server 2008

I'm trying to install EP on windows server 2008 64Bit to no avail. It seems that EP isnt compatible with WSS3.0, and WSS2.0 isn't compatible with server 2008.
How reassuring to see compatibility between microsoft products... :roll:
Does anyone have any suggestions?
