Well is you if you want to convert a report in to Excel XLS some of various availbale methods the cheapest and of course best is to produce comma delimited output text file and to open it in Excel staright away no conversion no manual work needed. For a CSV file you can use DATA PORT.
The column layout is not always preserved when exporting to Excel. Navision seems to fit the columns of each into the least amount of space possible, so if the report header prints only on the first page, then you might have this result (I have used . to denote spaces):

Go to File --> "Save as HTML" --> Change the "File Name" with applying extension as ".xls"
It should work!!!
