Import & export from same dataport

Does dataport support either import or export only but not both at the same time?

Is it possible to import or read from a file (eg Item No.) & export out data (eg Inventory) with respect to the imported value using the same dataport?

Take a look into the systemvariable "File".
With this you read File A and get there the Item No. and export then the inventory.

Forgot to mention that the user would need to specify the import & export file locations.
Using File will not allow user to specify directory so it does not solve the problem...

tzzz .... then allow the user to select the file ;-)
U can use CmdDialog management or you modify the request form.
There is also a HowTo in the HowTo section (go to the mainsite of mibuso -> HowTo's).

Problem 1: any addition in the RequestForm will remove all defaults
Problem 2: fiddling with Control1 which brought back the directory selection, but there's no such thing as Control2
Finally had to use Common Dialog Management
Dataports are hard to use...
