Now check this out...
Every single table is doubled. For example there is a table ID 27 (Item). Now there is second identical table ID 1000000027 (Item), and so on.
I noticed this not long ago, and kept checking, and at times things were normal, and then again doubled. In other words, this "issue" is not permanent. Sometimes its there, sometimes its not.
Quite STRANGE, wouldn't you say???

Quite normal. These 1,000,000,000 range objects are from a restored backup that was not completed.
Go to Tools Restore, and select to delete the incomplete backup.

These tables are from a restored backup that was not finished and stops with an error.
You should go for the yes ofcourse.
Before you create the db new, be sure that the same error during the restoreprocess doesn'T pop up
Generally unless you know what that backup is and know exactly what the error was, I would always recommend to say NO. After that you get the option to remove the old bacup and thus remove all thse odd tables.
Then start the restore process again if you need to.
my plan is:
1. Backup the Database
2. Tools>Restore. Click NO
everything should be okay, this way, right?

Obviously haveing a full backup is step #1. So you should be good to do it this way.
Since it's live my guess woudl be that someone tried to restore the live backup into itself and got a messsage "Company name xyz already exists". If that's the case there is nothign you can do to recover the existing backup anyway.
