In Navision the reports are not useful to calculate the Finished item cost based on the raw materials .

    You need to customize .

We done it for our company .

Our report caluclaltes the finished item actual cost based on the rawmaterial consumption and Capacity cost( machine centre , work centre) with details of actual out put quantity.

These values are defined against the item card in the overhead % field. I suggest you search the forum for "Manufacturing Overhead" so see the question answered at least a couple of times :D

Manufacturing costing is perfect when you use "Standard" costing method. In that way you will see all these statistics.
I'm not sure which countries can use this costing method. In our country we can't :(

In China it's free for enterprise choosing their cost method but it's important and should not change frequently.
