NAV 4.0 End of Life

Hello,
We are thinking of upgrading our current NAV 4.0 to NAV 2009. Can anyone tell me what is the end of life for NAV 4.0? Has Microsoft announced end of life for this version?
Somebody told me typically life of a version is 2 years. In that case, the version would have reached its end of life or any time soon it can be expected!!
Please advise.
