creating dataport

Hi

need quick help in creating data port. I want to update the global dimesnions for all invenotry codes that i have and thought of creating a dataport which i can then modify in excel in import the data in again.

Could someone please reply with a quick step by step guide on how to create the port as i keep getting stuck in doing it.

I suggest to get in contact with your solution center. If you don't do it properly in both tables for global dimensions, you will have bad and conflicting reports. .

Hi Trans,

You need not create data port for Item ledger entries ( for the item currently Available in Inventory), instead use item reclassification journal to change the Dimension previously given.

Remember this applied only to the item Available in the Inventory and not the shipped or consumed Item
