can anyone guide me to print the barcode report

i tried to print the barcode reports from the item dataitem,its printing the barcode but not readable and then its also prnting 9 blank label when i m goin to print the single barcode for the item.
I used the syntex

FONT i tired is

free 3 of 9 extended regular.

code 128

some other fonts also.
while i m trying to print the barcde from code 128 its shows me two box at the leading and the tailing of the barcode.

code 128 have different definition than 3 of 9. You need to do some operations with the data before printing them for different barcode types. That you add asterisks at beginning and end is only for barcode 3 of 9 (and may be other), but for other types...

i wrote the code for code 128 thats check sum code.
but not able to read by the reader.
I fed up with this barcode printing label now.
