Role for Read only access

I am using Nav 4.0 SP3, we work on windows login.

I want to set Readonly access to specific users. Can anybody help me what needs to be assigned in the roles for this read only access.

Hi Sapot,

First of all, you have done the posting in the group of NAV5.0 and NAV 6.0 while you are having a problem in NAV 4.0 SP3.
So, I suggest you to do your posting in appropriate Group so that you can get proper replies on urgent bases.

Now, about your problem, then please specify which data you want to make read only.
e.g Customers, Vendors, Sales Orders etc.

e.g. For the Customers to make visible
Go to Tools -> Security -> Windows Login -> User ( Selected ) -> Roles
and in the Roles list, insert Roles 1) All, 2) S&R-CUSTOMER.

If your requirements are not going to be satisfied from all the roles then you will need to create new role having all related table data having reading permission only.

MS Dynamic Navision 2009 - Version 6.0

Want give read acces of Vednor,Item. And also for the same user want to give access to post Purchase Challan Receipt & not modification of PO except Vednor Shipment in header & Quantity to Receive column in line.

Which default role can be useful in such case especially for PO & Purchase Receipt?
