Entering a location in PO, automatically assign sales orders

Normally all PO's are created thru the Planning worksheet.
If I manually create a PO and type in a location on the PO line (or modify the quantity) some SO lines are automatically tracked/connected to it. Could someone explain this and/or explain how to prevent this.
Offcourse I want to detect changes to a PO line but only in the planning worksheet
