Add Item Category Code Filter to Customer report

Hi all,

We have a custom report that allows us to filter by Cutomer and / or Item Number and calculate the Sales Revenue and Gross Margin for a given period.
These totals are created using the Value Entry table.

What code is required to add the ability to filter the Items included by Item Category code as Item Category Code is not present in the Value Entry Table?

IE. We have 100 part numbers to be included that all have the same Item Category Code.

I have tried to export the object to txt to include in this post, but our license doesn't permit it.

You could try adding a dataitem for the Item table, and link to the Value entry table from there. That way all Item fields will be available for filtering. Customer number will be a little bit more complex.

This report will probably need to be done by your solution center.

The report you need can also be done without modification by using Dimensions.

Both methods, should be consulted with your NAV partner to determine which option is right for you.
