Expiration Date Tracking During Sales

Hi
I have created the item tracking with Lot Number + Expiration tracking and specified the expiration date during purchase. Now i wanted to know whether NAV will stop the user from selling expirred goods considering the expiration date with Sales document date.
My requirement is that the user should not be allowed to sell expired goods. Please let me know

The field expiration date does not validate the usage of item with regards to the expiration date. You would need to write code to bring this about.
