Process to convert a basic warehouse to a full WMS location?

Hi,
I have a client who needs to convert a basic warehouse to a full WMS location, does anyone knows here how this can be done in Navision? They use NAV since several years so they have multiple transactions ( open; shipped not invoiced; received not invoiced etc...).
Anyone here with ideas?? Or anyone who has already done that? ideas will be appreciated.
